About MacBiophotonics

McMaster Biophotonics Facility is located in the Department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University and represents the cutting edge of Biophotonics Technology. The Facility was opened in 2006 with funding from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation and houses the best in widefield, confocal, and high throughput microscopy systems, in addition to high-content and high-throughput cell-sorting systems. The facility is well equipped with both the expertise and the necessary equipment to quantify steady state and lifetime of cellular fluorescence as well as fluorescence fluctuation analysis.

Getting to Mac

Located in beautiful west Hamilton, McMaster is readily accessible from two International Airports (Toronto - 45 min; Hamilton - 15 minutes) and a short drive (1 hr) from the US border at Niagara Falls.

McMaster's Main Campus is bicycle and pedestrian friendly and easily accessed by municipal (HSR bus service) and GO Transit.
